What's New or Improved
Home Page enhancements: If you’ve ever wished you could personalize your Home page, this release is for you!
- My Circle: On the lefthand side of the screen in the desktop view, you will now see My Circle. Here you will see a list of Groups where you are an assigned owner or member. No more mystery around your Group memberships! You can click through these Groups to see their Group Profile which includes their Group Details, Feed, and Celebrations.
- Group Details: At the top of the Group Feed you will see the Group Details. Clicking here will show you a scrollable list of all members of that Group, opening lots of additional space in your memory banks.
- Group Feed: Scrolling down in the Group Profile takes you to a deep dive of that Group’s Feed. The Group Feed includes Celebrations - upcoming birthdays, service anniversaries, etc. for that Group. If you are a leader, you will also see Create a Post allowing you to create a new Post for that specific Group.
- Search, View, and Follow a Group: If you want to see beyond your Circle, now you can! From the main search at the top of the screen, you can search for specific Groups and view their Profiles. In the Group Details at the top of the Group Profile, you will see an option to Follow that Group. Click the button to have curated content from that Group’s Feed included in your Feed. Hooray! This much-requested feature means you will always be in the know for the Groups you care about most.
- Following: Once you select a Group or Groups to follow, you will see them displayed on the lefthand side of your screen in the desktop view under Following.
- My Feed: When you log in to Wambi, you will see the My Feed view. This is the same Feed you are used to seeing, plus curated content from any Groups you are following.
User experience improvements: As if the new features weren’t enough, we have also been hard at work improving the experience for Single Sign-On Users, and optimizing the Feed for speed.
Fixes
- Users reported an error when entering a question mark in the search terms. We fixed that to the relief of all of us who appreciate punctuation.
- For Users without Single Sign-On, we have removed that confusing Single Sign-On button from the login screen.
- The Post widget was getting a little too aggressive, appearing multiple times on the Feed. Once is enough, thank you very much! We have taken of that.
