Wambi 4.9.10
RELEASED: March 20, 2024
What's New or Improved
- SSO-configured accounts automatically sign in
- All SSO-configured sites will now automatically sign in users using the SSO already configured for the site! If someone tries to sign in using SSO and their account isn’t set up correctly, the error message they see will now be more informative.
- People page improvements
- Client admins are now prompted to add a user to a group when creating a new user so they can sign in without (this) issue.
Fixes
- Users were not allowed to delete their display name; since maybe one day someone might want to be called their given name, they can now do that without error
- Users couldn't create a new group in the Groups page—oops! Our bad. They can now.
- Users could see management hub on mobile even if they only had access to desktop-only features, which was confusing (now it just doesn’t show for these people on mobile)
Wambi 4.9.01
RELEASED: March 13, 2024
What's New or Improved
- Updates to sites with custom colors
- The Wambi bird logo got a glow-up on sites with custom colors. The sign out / 404 / oops pages also have an updated look and feel! Also, the Wambi bird no longer appears on the top of the page on mobile or desktop on these sites; just the wordmark remains.
Fixes
- "My preferences" was showing all options for all users instead of the tabs that should appear; while we thought this added some fun-ctionality to the page, it made it confusing so only the most relevant tabs appear now

What's New or Improved
- Welcome to My team
- Managers, see all your direct reports in one place with the new My team icon on your home page! Located under your profile and location icons, this will be your new favorite place. Check out recent messages among the team, view relevant upcoming celebrations, and even find out who hasn't seen their recognition yet!
- Group profile refresh
- Group members are now easier to find than Carmen Sandiego! Click the Members tab above a newsfeed in a group profile and see all sorts of helpful information, like their name, job title, and when they were last active (and why not send a quick Wambi to someone who is currently active while you're at it)!
- Miscellaneous improvements
- We made a few tiny changes behind the scenes to improve the overall experience.
COMING SOON
Hot off the presses! My team is being rolled out to clients and it may not yet be available for your organization.
Fixes
- When a user edited their profile with a display name, there was some funkiness around approvals and draft view that was de-funked
- When users favorited their Primary Group/ Team, it disappeared; that was the opposite of what was expected, so now you can't favorite your primary group or team (but it's still special we promise
- On desktop, users clicking on search while the menu was open made things weird; this now is handled without a minor meltdown
- When no question sets were added to a portal, the question section appeared anyway; it now stays hidden
- Users could attempt to change their passwords without having one; that is no longer the case
- There was a fun name line break in the profile that wasn't really fun, so it's gone
- We found some text overlapping in Wambis, and we weren't into it so it no longer overlaps
- The Save Changes button on a profile was enabled without any new updates; while we love the blurple, we updated the functionality to be. . . correct.
Wambi 4.8.91
RELEASED: February 27, 2024
Fixes
- Some users saw LOTS of surprises available to them; while this was like winning the surprise lottery, it was definitely not the expected experience and the multiplier bug was removed
Wambi 4.8.90
RELEASED: February 21, 2024
What's New or Improved
- User management
- We are excited to roll out the People page in the Management Hub! Available for administrators, this page allows admins to easily see or update details about active and deactivated users.
- Update your bio
- When we said we wanted you to bring your whole self to work, we meant it! In the new about me section of your profile, you can now celebrate your "why," highlight your work experiences, talk about your pets, cheer for your favorite teams—the possibilities are endless!
- Prep your prefix
- We expanded the prefix options! You can now select from Dr., Miss, Mr., Mrs., Ms., or Prof (or select the default of "none.")
Wambi 4.8.80
RELEASED: January 25, 2024
What's New or Improved
- Patient interface improvements
- Patients can now be directed to an external award nomination site after sharing a message with their care provider! Also, we added some helper numbers to the filter to show how many options there are.
- Various and sundry improvements
- We made a couple of tiny tweaks in the platform to improve user experience and platform performance!
Fixes
- We had a mini-rave when users went from the sign out page to the sign in page; as much as we liked the flashing bubble background, it's now a smoother transition
- Toast icons were OOO without a vacation response up; they're (begrudgingly) back now
- Reviewers couldn't click "Skip" on the Submit Gratitude page when there weren't any awards configured; we like our buttons and hyperlinks to work, so it's working (as expected)
- As if inspired by Picasso, the filter dropdown button arrow was misaligned; it now appears in an order that Picasso would scoff at
- Users who received the feedback comment email link experienced an exhilarating page crash; the page now appears as expected (as long as they have access to the comment!)
- Users couldn't tag any groups; after first going through a mild existential crisis, we found the root of the problem
Wambi 4.8.70
RELEASED: December 20, 2023
What's New or Improved
- Search filter in patient interface
- A reach "pinch me" moment for anyone searching for their care providers! There is now A FILTER OPTION in the search bar where a patient can apply multiple filters to find their providers with ease!
- Optional link to webstore
- In the season when it's as easy as ever to "add to cart," our clients can now add a link to their web store! The link to the web store will appear in the Celebrations widget and a button to the web store will appear on others' profiles.
- Terms and privacy improvements
- We have updated the location and accessibility of any custom terms and conditions and the Wambi privacy policy so they is easier to find both before and after signing in.
Fixes
- Gifts received were having a real Secret Santa moment in that the notifications just weren't appearing; this was as bad as a porch pirate, so the notification now appears
Wambi 4.8.60
RELEASED: November 21, 2023
What's New or Improved
- Client account settings added for patient portals
- We added some feature settings to better support our clients in protecting their patients! Client admins can learn more about how we can help them detect and scrub PII from patient Wambis and the what it means to set up a patient portal when your patients are children.
- Cornucopia improvements
- We made a couple of tiny tweaks in the platform to improve performance! (And we just wanted to be able to use the word "cornucopia" in a non-corny way)
Fixes
- For some clients where the progress bar was disabled, it was visible on mobile; it no longer appears
- Users experienced errors when trying to access portals that had no locations set; now, they will be redirected to the sign in page instead of experiencing errors
- Full-text search went on vacation early; we want the search function to be helpful, so this works now
- Duplicate Wambi themes appeared when composing a Wambi; while "more is better!" that idea doesn't apply when selecting a Wambi design
- A notification for received gifts went missing; while we love the idea of Secret Santas this time of year, we're not into "Obscure Old Elf" games so the notification now appears as expected
