Client Admin Article
This article is geared toward Wambi client admins.
We're excited to help our clients elevate the voice of their youngest patients! This article outlines the configuration setting available to help patients under the age of 13 to share gratitude with their care team members through the Wambi patient portal.
Portal setting: COPPA Compliance enabled
When COPPA Compliance is enabled on a patient portal, users will not authenticate their sessions with a one-time passcode. All patients and family members will be prompted to enter the year they were born to ensure they have the correct portal experience.
With this setting turned on, the patient experience for users who are under the age of 13 at any point this year will be:
- Access portal link
- Indicate the year when you were born
- Select location (if needed)
- Select care team member
- Share a message of gratitude with care team member
- Nominate care team member for award (if enabled; however, they will not be prompted to share their personal information to submit the nomination)
- Response submitted!
