Join a group

  1. Search for the group you wish to join and open the group profile
  2. Under the group name, click the Join button

That's it! You're now a member of this group! To encourage others to join your group, you can send them a link so they can join as well. If you are looking to become a group administrator, proceed to Update membership to group admin.

Update membership to group admin

  Group Admin Feature

This feature is available to group admin users in Wambi.

Currently, users who already have joint manager + group admin privileges can also become a group admin in other groups. However, whether you can become a group admin immediately depends on whether another group admin exists in the group you just joined!

To check if the group you joined has a group admin, look in the # Members section above the newsfeed. If you see " There are no group admins. Claim this group," you can simply click on the bolded words, review the modal that appears, and click Accept responsibilities. You will then appear as the group admin!

Rename a group

  Group Admin Feature

This feature is available to group admin users in Wambi.

Once you are a group admin in a group (or any groups above the group you wish to edit), you can rename the group to best suit your needs.

  1. Search for the group you wish to rename and open the group profile
  2. Under the group name, click the  Edit button
  3. Update the group name (limit: 100 characters) to a name that is clear and follows your organizational naming standards so others would know how to find your group
  4. Optional: add a group description; this will appear under the group name in the group profile
  5. Click Save Changes; your changes have been saved and your group has been renamed!
