Patient experience is a key factor in the success of any healthcare organization. Employee recognition helps to create a positive work environment, which in turn leads to improved patient satisfaction and better outcomes. By recognizing your team member efforts, you can ensure that your employees are motivated and engaged in providing quality care for their patients.
Connect patients to Wambi
- Train staff on Wambi
- Educate your team members about the features and benefits of Wambi and share the Team Member User Guide. Leaders can learn how to collect patient Wambis by following the steps below; this feature is available only to managers in Wambi.
- Navigate to your menu
- Select Collect Wambis
- If prompted, select your organization's portal name
- You will be signed out of Wambi and redirected to the Patient & Family Portal
- You will see the "Who would you like to thank?" page

- Introduce Wambi to patients
- Team members, patient experience specialists, and leaders can educate patients about Wambi and its purpose in creating a culture that values patient voice. Empower your team to introduce Wambi to patients and answer any questions the patients may have.
TIP
Introduce Wambi by saying "Wambi is a recognition and culture transformation platform that improves our organization’s human experience with the power of gratitude." Then, ask the patient:
- “Is there anyone that has been caring for you that you’d like to recognize?” or
- “Is there anyone who has given you excellent care that you would like to thank?”
- Highlight the benefits
- Emphasize the benefits of using Wambi to patients. For example, explain that it allows them to express gratitude to the care provider who made a difference in their care. Mention how it can improve their overall experience and ensure their voice is heard and elevated.
NOTE
Reviews are anonymous, unless the patient requests follow up.
- Provide access
- Ensure patients have access to the necessary devices to engage with Wambi. This may involve providing tablets or using their own smartphones, which allows patients to connect digitally.
- Provide assistance to patients and families in navigating the reviews on their own devices in order to prevent and adhere to infection prevention practices
- Point them to where they can find the Wambi Chatbot QR code or leave a recognition card
- Show your patients how easy it is to send gratitude with our brief video
Promote Wambi
Promote Wambi through marketing materials such as posters, admission/discharge flyers, recognition cards and other marketing materials that highlight Wambi to patients. Display these materials in waiting areas, patient rooms, and other visible locations to generate awareness and encourage patient engagement.
BEST PRACTICE
Highlight positive patient experiences and testimonials in Wambi. You can share a patient Wambi, or any Wambi that was shared on the newsfeed and add a personalized message!
Remember, the key to connecting patients to Wambi is to create an environment where expressing gratitude is encouraged and facilitated. By following these steps, you can successfully connect Wambi with patients and increase engagement!
