Wambi 4.5.00
RELEASED: October 29, 2021
What's New or Improved
- Edit Posts and Wambis: Have you ever hit "publish" on a post or "send" on a Wambi and noticed too late that the image wasn't quite right, or the message had an error? You can now edit your published posts AND edit your sent Wambis!
- Pronouns: By popular request, users now have the option to add their preferred pronouns so that they appear on their Wambi profiles!
- Wambis not shared on newsfeed do not increment progress: By client request, only Wambis shared on the newsfeed will increment progress for users. Wambis not shared on the newsfeed will no longer increment progress, and will not be counted as fulfilling any challenge requirement.
- Internet Explorer guidance: If users attempt to access any Wambi client site from Internet Explorer, they will be greeted with an informative page that says that the browser that they are using is not supported, and that they can view our supported browsers.
- Hide Wambis button: Group owners can now hide Wambis when they are on the View recent Wambis page! As with all Wambis not shared on the newsfeed, they will just be hidden from the newsfeed.
- UI improvements: We have some more consistency in capitalization throughout the platform; group owners will now see "value" instead of "score" when hovering over the line chart widget; page title will now include client account name; we added even more toast messages, and if a user has not sent or received any Wambis, they will now see "No [sent/received] Wambis" on the My Wambis page.
- Recovery alerts: Users will no longer receive service recovery alerts about themselves, which is an expected experience.
Fixes
- If a client did not have any surprises available for users to unlock, users were experiencing some really disappointing errors; since surprises should be fun, we will now gently inform the users that no surprises are available, but they will not experience an error (or any decrease in surprises available)
- If a surprise had an item number but no attribute entered, users found another surprise error; this is no fun, so we can now handle it
- In the spirit of spooky season, some quirks appeared in the platform UI; as much as we're into the season, we weren't into these quirks so they're all fixed
- We found a few bugs when sending Wambis; these bugs were squashed to make the Wambi sharing experience more fun for everyone
- If users got excited and double-clicked on a reaction, they experienced an error; we don't want to discourage platform interaction, so this won't throw an error anymore
- Time was literally an issue with reports showing UTC instead of local time; we want people to like our reports, so this is now correct

Fixes
- When users sent bulk Wambis, our SMS and email notifications did their own thing; we now have notification stability
- We noticed an error for our SSO users that we (and they) didn't particularly like; we corrected this error
Wambi 4.4.56

Fixes
- The "Change my password" menu item was still appearing for SSO users; since they cannot, in fact, change their password in Wambi, we removed this option from SSO users' menus

What's New or Improved
- User interface (UI) improvements: New toast messages added.
- Raffle and item expiring emails: Additional details were added to the raffle entry confirmation email; the item expiring email (and notifications) now says "Reminder!" instead of "Hurry!" based on feedback we received.

What's New or Improved
- Gratitude Gatherers: Welcome to Wambi 4, Gratitude Gatherers! Gratitude Gatherers can now self-register with a mobile number or email address and then be welcomed back each time they return to collect Wambis!
- Password reset prompt: If a user selects "Sign in with code" on the log in screen, their password will be cleared and they will be prompted to set a new password after they enter the code they used to sign in.
- Analytics improvements: Widgets can now be interactive (when you click them, they can open a report); "Dashboard" is now a tab to select (and all dashboards now appear as clickable tabs); blank reports will now appear with the message "No results."
- Surprise improvements: There is now a countdown to the claim expiration on each surprise in the "My Surprises" list view; new in-app surprise expiration notification seven (7) days before expiration.
- Profile Review and Feedback notifications: Direct managers and group owners will now see actionable in-app notifications for photo approvals and feedback with response requests for their direct reports and/or users in their group(s).
Fixes
- The "Claim before" date was incorrect after user plays bubble pop and unlocks a surprise; since we don't want the surprise claim experience to be surprising in a bad way, we fixed this
- The helpful "Unlocked" bubble tag was not appearing for surprises that were claimed; we like this bubble, so it's back
- Wambi's expiring surprise emails were not being sent with any regularity; since unsent emails are useless, we fixed this
- Users used to be able to claim a surprise after their opportunity to claim it expired; since we now have plenty of notifications that tell users to please claim their unlocked surprises, now the users cannot select another item after their claim opportunity has expired (which is expected behavior)
- We tweaked a couple of tiny (read: imperceptible to nearly all users) things to improve the overall user experience
