We're excited to announce even more updates to the patient Wambis feature (after recently updating the portal chatbot process)! After reviewing client feedback about the patient experience, we have made two adjustments to make it easier for patients to share gratitude with their care team members.
Currently, the process for patients to share gratitude with their care team members from your portal link is:
- Access portal link
- Select location (if needed)
- Authenticate your session
- Select care team member
- Answer questions about experience with care team member
- Prompt: Respond with how to improve the experience (only if patient responded with "OK" "Fair" or "Poor" for at least one question)
- Share a message of gratitude with care team member
- Nominate care team member for award (if enabled)
- Response submitted!
Wambi first, answer questions later (...next)
We received feedback to encourage patients to leave messages of gratitude for their care team members prior to asking them questions about their experience; we are excited to see the impact of asking for messages first!
With this update, the patient experience will be:
- Access portal link
- Select location (if needed)
- Authenticate your session
- Select care team member
- Share a message of gratitude with care team member
- Have the option to answer questions about experience with care team member
- Prompt: Respond with how to improve the experience (only if patient responded with "OK" "Fair" or "Poor" for at least one question)
- Nominate care team member for award (if enabled)
- Response submitted!
NOTE
With this update, if a patient closes out of the portal before reaching the end, all of the patient's messages or responses will be recorded, including partial responses.
Client account setting: Authentication requirement
Some of our clients expressed a desire to remove the requirement for patients to enter a phone number or email address to access their Wambi patient portal. We have now made this a portal setting! If you would like to allow your patients to share their gratitude with your team members without requiring them to authenticate first, please contact your Client Success Manager so we can adjust this setting on your portal. The default setting for all portals will be enabled (patient authentication required).
With this setting, if authentication is not required, the patient experience will be:
- Access portal link
- Select location (if needed)
- Select care team member
- Share a message of gratitude with care team member
- Have the option to answer questions about experience with care team member
- Prompt: Respond with how to improve the experience (only if patient responded with "OK" "Fair" or "Poor" for at least one question)
- Nominate care team member for award (if enabled)
- Response submitted!
