Create a post

This feature is available to leader users in Wambi.

Posts are a great way to keep your team up-to-date about happenings on your team, at your facility, or across your organization!

  1. Navigate to your newsfeed  
  2. Your post widget will appear at the top of your newsfeed. Click in the box that says "Write a post here..." or on the purple  post button.
  3. The Create a Post page will appear.
  4. At the top of the page, you will see the  group and/or subgroup(s) where the post will appear. Posts will default to be shared to all of the groups and/or subgroups where you are tagged. To change the groups that will see your post, click the  caret and check or uncheck all that apply. Once you are done selecting groups, click Apply. To reset the groups you chose, click Reset.

      NOTE


    If you select a group with subgroups (i.e. a facility [group] that has units [subgroups]), your post will appear for all of the subgroups.

  5. Enter your post in the text box and format the text as desired (feel free to add emojis to your text!).
  6. To add a media file to your post, click the  media button and select a file from your device.
  7. Adjust the image by zooming in or out on the zoom bar, or rotate the image using the image rotation button. Click Save Image when you're done!
  8. To pin your post to the top of the newsfeed, click the  pin button on the bottom left of the post box.
  9. In the Pin on the Newsfeed prompt that appears, enter the number of days you wish your post to be pinned for (no more than 30 days). Click the Done button after making your selection.

      NOTE


    Posts will appear for the duration selected, and can be unpinned (dismissed) by any user for their own newsfeed view.

  10. Once you're all set, select when you want to publish your post!

    1. Click the Post Now button to publish your post immediately
    2. To save your post as a draft, click the Cancel button on the upper right corner of your page and select Save Draft
    3. To schedule your post to appear at a later time, click the  caret on the right of the Post Now button, click Schedule for later, and follow the steps to schedule your post!

You will be brought back to the newsfeed. If you selected Post Now, your published post will appear at the top, and your post will appear on the newsfeed for everyone in your group!

  TIP


Need to update a post after you published it? You can edit your post!
